Make sure that design is on point. The design has to appeal to the user and give them the feeling that they are dealing with the right company.\n\nImportant things to watch are typography, use of color, white space and images. Another must these days: make sure the landing page works on mobile. A lot of internet traffic now comes from mobile devices, and it is essential to keep up with that, otherwise visitors leave quickly. We <a href=\"https:\/\/jkc.media\/why-making-your-website-responsive-matters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explained that earlier<\/a>.\n\nAnother concrete tip: make sure your CTA buttons stand out. Use striking colors and put them in a clear spot so they practically shout: click us (and raise your conversion rate)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. <strong>Provide <em>interesting content<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides the design, the content matters. First decide what you are building the landing page for, and for whom. Is the page meant to sell products, or rather to promote them? Or do you want people to sign up for the newsletter? Tailor the content to that. And who is your target audience? What are their interests and what do they want to see? Do you address them formally or informally?\n\nA few elements that are important to include on your landing pages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>A catchy headline or title (one that speaks to your target audience)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Call to action (CTA). A button that should move people to act (for example: request a quote)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A short but powerful explanation of what your landing page is about (for example your service or product)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A contact form<\/li>\n\n\n<li>The benefit for the visitor of the website (for example: with this service you never have to do this or that yourself again)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Reviews and use cases from previous clients (as a way of proving that your company delivers quality)<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Layout of a landing page | Want to learn how to build a successful landing page yourself? Creating a landing page does not have to be difficult at all! [Guide], JKC Media B.V.\n\nOpinions differ on the order in which you place those elements. It is smart to start with the headline, a CTA and an introduction. Beyond that you can add other content such as portfolio items of delivered products, logos of (large) clients of your company, or a price overview of your services and products.\n\nWhat matters is that a landing page has at least 600 words, and that you make good use of the H1 and H2 headings. That is where SEO comes in. Applied the right way, SEO can deliver a lot. With the <a href=\"https:\/\/jkc.media\/absolute-donts-for-seo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrong approach<\/a>, however, it can work against you. Do keyword research (or have it done) and make sure your SEO is in order, for example with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li><u>Write good meta titles and meta descriptions<\/u>\nFor instance, include the keyword you want to be found for in the meta title and description. Make sure your title and description make visitors curious.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><u>Make sure there is enough content on your website\n<\/u>As we mentioned earlier: aim for at least 600 words on your landing page. And do not underestimate the use of images either.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><u>Get started with link building<\/u>.\nYou can read how to do that in a natural way in our previous blog. It covers our do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts of link building.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><u>Work the keywords you want to be found for into the text\n<\/u>Do this in a natural way, because in the end you write the content on the page for the visitor and not for Google.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. <strong>Create local <em>landing pages<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A tip we have run into a lot lately: create local landing pages. With these pages you can easily show which region your company works in or where your locations are. SEO plays a big role for these pages too: research carefully what visitors are searching for and create landing pages for that. Since visitors do need to be able to find them again, put the pages in your menu, for example.\n\nWe can already hear you thinking: but I have fifteen places I want to target, do all those pages have to be built separately? Well, no, thankfully not! These days we can generate local landing pages automatically, although we do need to research where the traffic is. But it saves a lot of time that you can then put into other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. <strong>Look at your <em>competitors&#8217; landing pages<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Better well stolen than badly invented, right? Take a look at what your competitors are scoring well with. Do not copy all of it, but picking up some inspiration is of course no problem. There is a reason your competitors rank high in Google. Look around to see why that is and apply it creatively to your own site or shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Have a <em>good landing page<\/em> built<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides getting to work on landing pages yourself, you can also have someone else do it for you.
