The perfect landing page. It may not exist, but we can help you get pretty close. A good landing page can give your business a huge boost. Read our blog for tips on how to perfect your pages.

1.Opt for an effective design

A landing page is often the first page a visitor sees when they arrive at your website or online store. Make sure the design is on point. The design should appeal to the user and give them the feeling that they have come to the right place.

Important things to pay attention to are font, color use, white space, and images. Another must these days: make sure the landing page works on mobile devices. A lot of internet traffic nowadays comes from mobile devices, and it is essential to keep up with this trend, otherwise visitors will quickly leave. We explainedthisearlier.

Another concrete tip: make sure your CTA buttons stand out. Use striking colors and place them in a clear spot so that they practically scream: click on us (and you'll increase your conversion rate)!

2.Provide interesting content

In addition to the design, the content is also important. First, decide what you want to use the landing page for and who it is aimed at. Is the page intended to sell products or to promote them? Or do you want people to sign up for the newsletter? Tailor the content accordingly. And who is your target audience? What are their interests and what do they want to see? Do you address them informally or formally?

A few elements that are important to include on your landing pages:

  • A catchy headline/title (that appeals to your target audience)
  • Call-to-action (CTA). A button that encourages people to take action (e.g., request a quote).
  • Short but powerful explanation of the content of your landing page (e.g., your service or product)
  • A contact form
  • The advantage for visitors to the website (e.g., with this service, you will never have to do this or that yourself again)
  • Reviews/user cases from previous customers (to "prove" that your company delivers quality)

Opinions differ on the order in which you should place these elements. It is wise to start with the headline, a CTA, and an introduction. You can then add other content such as portfolio items of delivered products, logos of (major) clients of your company, or a price overview of your services and products.

It is important that you have at least 600 words on a landing page and that you make good use of the H1 and H2 headings. You should include your relevant keywords and synonyms in these headings.

3.Pay close attention to SEO

It's great that you now have a beautiful landing page with a good design and strong content, but of course, it also needs to be found. That's where SEO comes in. If you apply SEO correctly, it can yield great results. However, ifyou approach it incorrectly, it can work against you. Conduct keyword research (or have it done for you) and make sure your SEO is in order, for example with the following:

  • Write good meta titles and meta descriptions
For example, include the keyword you want to be found on in the meta title and description. Make sure your title and description make visitors curious.
  • Ensure sufficient content on your website
As mentioned earlier, ensure a minimum of 600 words on your landing page. Furthermore, do not underestimate the use of images.
  • Get started with link building.
You can read about how to do this naturally in our previous blog. It includes our dos and don'ts for link building.
  • Include the keywords you want to be found on in the text
Do this in a natural way, because ultimately you are writing the content on the page for the visitor and not for Google.

4.Create local landing pages

A tip that we have been considering a lot lately is to create local landing pages. These pages make it easy to show which region your company operates in or where its branches are located. SEO also plays a major role in these pages: research what visitors are looking for and create landing pages for that. Make sure visitors can find these pages, for example by putting them in your menu.

We can already hear you thinking: but I have fifteen places I want to target, do all those pages have to be created separately? Well, no, thank goodness not! Nowadays, we can generate local landing pages automatically, although we do have to investigate where there is a lot of traffic. But it saves a lot of time that you can then spend on other things.

5.Look at competitors' landing pages

Better to steal a good idea than come up with a bad one, right? Take a look at what your competitors are doing well. Don't copy everything, but there's no harm in getting some inspiration. Your competitors are high in Google's rankings for a reason. Find out why and apply that knowledge creatively to your own site or shop.

Have a good landing page created

In addition to creating landing pages yourself, you can also have someone else do it for you. We are happy to assist you and create top-quality landing pages for you, taking all of the above into account.
