At JKC you start with an introductory assignment of your own, so you get to know how we work. After that you work on real projects: for the local business that finally wants to be found online, and for bigger names like Amsterdam UMC and High Tech Campus Eindhoven. We do this work with love and with pleasure. Making mistakes is allowed, as long as you learn from them. And we celebrate the wins together.
Here’s what you’ll learn and do
You start with an introductory assignment of your own: a personal portfolio in WordPress, from Figma design to live delivery. That way you get to know our way of working straight away. After that you join the client projects, where you will:
- Build and maintain websites, webshops and web applications in WordPress and Laravel
- Work with bespoke child templates based on our own Figma designs, no off-the-shelf themes
- Use professional tools such as GitHub, ACF, Gravity Forms, Yoast and Google Analytics
- Put AI to clever use to work faster and better, without letting it take over your craft
- Learn to understand why you are building something, not only how
We help you at every step, so you get everything out of your internship.
Who are we looking for?
We are only satisfied once the client is, and that is how you should learn to think too. Beyond that we are looking for someone who:
- Is doing an MBO or HBO degree in software development or web development, and thinks at HBO level
- Has a basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript; experience with WordPress or Laravel is a bonus
- Is curious, takes the initiative and asks questions when something is unclear
- Is critical of their own work, technically and on substance
- Communicates clearly in Dutch and can find their way in English

It depends on what you need. The Hybrid Approach starts at EUR 4,500 and builds on proven building blocks; a Fully Custom project is quoted once we know your goals and what has to connect to what.
Either way you get a fixed project fee agreed before we start, so there is no invoice afterwards that you did not see coming. You pay for the thinking that goes into an hour, not for the hour.
We work with fixed project fees. All terms are set out in the roadmap you sign off on before the first line is written, so you know what lands on the invoice and when.
