In addition to its pickup service and data destruction options, Recycling Best is expanding with a new drop-off location for IT and electronics. This expansion was accompanied by a new website that focuses on different target audiences. We also implemented local SEO strategies to boost the company’s online visibility.

Quick response
Does your company have surplus old electronics you want to get rid of? Recycling Best picks up your electronics and also offers professional data destruction. Due to the addition of a drop-off location and the desire for better online visibility, Recycling Best began looking for a web development partner. “I found JKC through an online search,” says director/owner Mark Kremers. “I reached out to several providers after reviewing their portfolios and websites. JKC responded within a few hours. That was immediately a good sign of trust. Some companies don’t even respond or are too busy.”
Customized advice
After that initial brief contact, we began discussions with Recycling Best. “The original idea was to create a separate website for our new drop-off location service,” Mark explains. “But after consulting with Justin, we decided to build a completely new website instead, incorporating the new service. Otherwise, you’d end up managing two websites, which would double the costs and the effort required.” Another goal was to switch to WordPress for the additional features and flexibility.
Start with a clean slate
One of the goals of the new website is to capture market share for the new drop-off service. That’s why we focused on local SEO by creating landing pages for cities across the country. “Another goal was to revamp the website’s structure,” says Mark. “Over the years, we had kept expanding the old site, bit by bit, so the structure no longer aligned well with exactly what we do.”
We started from scratch with the new website. “That was pretty exciting. We also updated our corporate identity and logo—in fact, we revamped our entire brand image. But it turned out really well.” The website’s fresh new look and clear navigation are key features. We also had to ensure that the large number of product photos were displayed correctly on the site.
Smooth communication
“Right from the very first meeting, the collaboration went smoothly,” Mark notes. “The proposals JKC put forward were spot on from the start. They took our needs into account, and communication was very smooth. They also kept a close eye on the content side of things on our end, ensuring the process didn’t run into any delays.”
