Working with JKC
It depends on what you need. The Hybrid Approach starts at EUR 4,500 and builds on proven building blocks; a Fully Custom project is quoted once we know your goals and what has to connect to what.
Either way you get a fixed project fee agreed before we start, so there is no invoice afterwards that you did not see coming. You pay for the thinking that goes into an hour, not for the hour.
We work with fixed project fees. All terms are set out in the roadmap you sign off on before the first line is written, so you know what lands on the invoice and when.
No hourly surprises afterwards, and nothing billed that you did not approve.
Every project starts with a session about your goals, your market and where growth is stuck today, not with a standard intake form. From there we write a roadmap: what we build, in what order, and what it has to deliver.
You get a decision moment at every step, so there is never a version you see for the first time when it is already finished.
Most agencies deliver a website. We take responsibility for what it has to achieve. Strategy, design, development and marketing sit under one roof, so nothing gets lost between three suppliers who each blame the other two.
We use AI to work faster, not to replace the people doing the thinking. What you end up with is a foundation that keeps working after launch and a team that stays involved.
Yes. We build complete digital platforms, but you can also bring us in for one part: brand strategy, design, a specific integration, or the marketing around a site someone else built.
We would rather do one thing that moves your result than everything at once.
No. We pick projects on ambition rather than industry. We have built for SMEs that want to own their region and for corporates scaling across markets.
What matters is that there is a goal behind the website. The sector we learn.
We work from Eindhoven (HQ) and Rotterdam for the Dutch and Belgian market, and from Atlanta (GA) for the United States.
Most of the work happens remotely, so where you are based is rarely the deciding factor. Sitting down together is always an option.
Eindhoven and Rotterdam are open on weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00 (CET). Atlanta runs from 06:00 to 14:00 (GMT-4).
For business-critical problems outside those hours there is always someone reachable.
Your platform runs on WordPress, an open-source foundation you own outright, so you are never locked into one supplier.
Inside JKC no project depends on one person: the work is documented and shared across the team in Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Atlanta. If we ever part ways, you leave with everything.
You do. Design, code, and content are yours, including full IP rights. No lock-in on our hosting or our team.

You work with the people who do the work, not with an account manager who passes your question on.
Websites & webshops
WordPress is the content management system behind more than 40% of the web. We use it as a foundation, not as a template: you edit your own pages, and underneath sits an architecture built to your requirements that can talk to your other systems.
Because it is open source, the platform is yours. You can take it anywhere, with or without us.
Most projects go live within three to eight weeks, depending on how much has to be built and how quickly the content is ready.
The roadmap puts a date on it before we start, and at every step you can see where we are against it.
Yes. Every page is built out of blocks you edit yourself, and you get a walkthrough at handover. What you would rather leave to us, we keep doing.
Often, yes. We run a technical audit first: security, speed, structure, and whether the build can carry what you want to do next.
If it can, we take it into maintenance as it is. If it cannot, you get a straight answer about what needs fixing before that makes sense.
Usually the problem is not the design. It is a mismatch between what the site says, who it is trying to reach, and how findable it is.
We audit what is there and come back with what is actually holding growth back and what to fix first, in order of impact. The Growth Scan is the quickest way to get that answer.
Findability in Google & AI
Search engine optimisation is making sure people find you when they search for what you do. Part of it is technical: structure, speed, clean code. The rest is content that answers the question someone is actually asking.
Done properly it keeps paying off long after the work is finished, which is what separates it from advertising.
Generative Engine Optimization: being found inside AI answers, in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI overviews, instead of only in the blue links.
More people now ask an assistant rather than a search engine, and those assistants quote their sources. We make sure yours is one of them. We treat it as part of findability, not as an extra invoice.
Findability is built in from the first sprint: structure, speed, and content that answers what your customer searches for. From there we keep measuring and improving.

Content that is generated and published without a thought, yes. That is exactly why we do not do that.
Every page gets a point of view, checked facts and something the reader can use. That is what search engines reward, whatever tool helped write the first draft.
How we use AI
No. AI helps us research, sketch and iterate faster, but the final work is made and corrected by a person.
Everything is checked on tone, quality and accuracy before it reaches you.
AI can produce something that looks right and is not. So a person always checks the facts, the sources and the code before anything leaves the door.
No. We use tools and settings where your data is not used for training, and we do not feed confidential information into them. Where you need it, we put that in the contract.

We tell you. We are open about where AI sits in the process. The direction and the final responsibility are always with our team.
Your project keeps working. We do not build anything we do not understand ourselves, and nothing leans entirely on one tool. AI is our engine, not your foundation.
The time AI saves us on routine work comes off the price. You pay for thinking and judgement, not for manual repetition.
International & compliance
JKC does not hold its own ISO certificate, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Our hosting runs with an ISO 27001 certified partner.
For information security we work to the BIO/ISO standards, the same frameworks used by Dutch government bodies and healthcare institutions. Firewall configuration, brute-force protection, malware scanning and encrypted connections are standard on every project we manage.
Yes. Through our affiliate JKC Media LLC in Atlanta we know what the American market asks for, including ADA accessibility and state privacy law.
We build platforms that hold up legally and technically on both sides of the ocean, whether you are a US company growing online or a European one entering the US market.
No. Client data stays where it belongs. JKC Media LLC only has access to projects in the American market, and JKC Media BV only to projects in the European market.
Nothing moves between the two without your explicit permission. We work to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and stay GDPR compliant throughout.
European client data is stored and processed exclusively on secure servers inside the European Union, fully under the GDPR. American client data stays with JKC Media LLC.
Both entities operate independently and answer to the privacy law of their own market, following the standards of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Working at JKC
A first screening after your application, then a short call about the role. If that clicks, a video interview to go into your work properly, and a final conversation about terms and where you want to grow.
No endless rounds. You hear where you stand.
Partly. On a full-time contract we assume one day a week from home.
The rest of the week we work together at the office, because sparring, reviewing and solving something complicated goes faster in the same room.
We look at what you can do, not at a fixed job description. Because we work on the edge of web technology and AI, there is room to specialise in something few people can do yet.
Take ownership and the role grows with the impact you make.
We work on MacBooks. Development uses VS Code, Cursor, Warp and GitHub; design uses Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud; marketing uses Google Analytics, Search Console, Looker Studio, SE Ranking and Social Pilot.
Everyone works in Google Workspace, Slack and Productive, with Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini alongside.

On this page you get a straight answer to the questions we are asked most, about website development, webshops, findability, online marketing and how we use AI.
