Business Impact: a training site that takes its own registrations, in four languages

Fifteen years of training, thirty trainers, four languages

Business Impact trains and coaches professionals and teams from Apeldoorn, and has been doing it for more than fifteen years. The work is aimed at lasting change in behavior through action learning, consultancy and masterclasses, with more than thirty trainers who all still stand in practice themselves. Since 2010 the company has worked internationally, with businesses large and small, on management, negotiating, communication and sales skills.

That is a wide offer to put on a website: in company programs, open masterclasses with dates, coaching that ranges from team coaching to personal assessments, and a Campus for people who already did a training. It also has to read in more than one language.

What we did

We built the site on our own WordPress base theme with a custom child theme for Business Impact, and connected it to the planning system the trainers already work in. Open course dates are not typed into a page: they come from that system, so a page about a masterclass shows what is actually still open.

The rest of the offer is arranged the way a visitor searches: training split into in company and open programs, coaching per form, consultancy, masterclasses, and a knowledge bank with articles per subject.

  • The whole site in Dutch, English, French and German, switchable in the header.
  • Course dates straight from their planning system, with time, location and the number of seats left.
  • Registration in two steps on the page itself: pick a date, fill in your details, get a confirmation right away.
  • A knowledge bank filterable by communication, management and sales.
  • A separate Campus login for current and former participants.

The date list is the part that turns a page about a masterclass into a registration.

The result

Every masterclass and training now shows which dates are open, at what time, where, and how many places are left, and people sign up on the page itself instead of asking by email first. The confirmation with the practical details goes out immediately.

The whole site, including the knowledge bank, reads in four languages, and the Campus sits behind its own login for people who already followed a training. Business Impact keeps the offer, the articles and the team pages up to date themselves.
