Epoxy Art Gallery: a site that shows what epoxy does

The company that gives artwork its last layer

Epoxy Art Gallery in Veldhoven finishes work for artists and creative professionals in epoxy, a clear resin that goes on as a liquid and cures into a glass like layer. It deepens color, keeps detail visible and protects against UV, moisture and wear.

The company grew out of two epoxy businesses and builds on the plastics expertise of Plano Plastics, with art director Eyal Reches over the process. That is a service that is hard to explain in a paragraph and easy to show in a picture.

A site built around the work

So the site is built around the projects. Every application has its own page, every project has its own page, and the reading order runs from what epoxy does to what it did for someone else.

For visitors who are still comparing materials there is a table that puts epoxy next to polyester lacquer, acrylate and UV coating on the points that decide it: depth, protection, UV resistance and whether it works on relief and 3D objects.

  • A page per application: interior design, fine art, photography, casting and lamps.
  • A project archive with a page for every project.
  • A comparison table for epoxy against three alternatives.
  • Dutch and English, translated through Weglot.
  • An FAQ, a contact form and a newsletter signup.

The project archive is the part that does the convincing.

The result

The site is live in Dutch and English. The portfolio shows work made for names like Maison Margiela, de Bijenkorf, Vitra and Bang & Olufsen, and the applications explain per material what the coating adds.

There is no webshop, because every job starts as a question. So the site ends where the work starts: a form, a phone number and a line that says whether the workshop can be reached right now.

Do you sell something people need to see first?

When the work has to do the explaining, the site has to be built around the work. Take the Growth Scan and see where your site is losing that argument. It is free, it takes 30 minutes, and it commits you to nothing.
